Recreational and Advanced Classes
Girls and Boys Proficiency 6 to 12 years
This class introduces fundamental gymnastics skills in a non-competitive environment and the emphasis is on fun, fitness and skill development. Each class for boys and girls begins with a fun warm up, followed by gymnastics apparatus rotations – beam, bars, rings, floor,trampoline, track and vault. These classes cater for boys and girls from 6 years to 12 years. This program is carefully constructed to address each child’s skill level in which gymnasts progress at their own pace through our ten level program, learning basic to advanced gymnastics skills which help to improve overall flexibility, strength, body awareness and develop great self esteem. Children at this level will work their way through our Gymstart grading system and will perform in our christmas display and end of year in house competition.
For gymnasts who are able for a bit more of challenge and would like to progress their gymnastics. Certain skill criteria for this class is neccessary.
Gymnasts in our recreational program participate in our in-house Christmas Competition, Easter Grading/Awards and our Summer Display.
Womens Artistic Gymnastics consists of four pieces of apparatus:
Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor
Mens Artistic Gymnastics consists of six apparatus:
Vault, High Bar, Pommel Horse, Parallel Bars, Floor, Rings
Teen Gymnastics Class
This program is carefully constructed to address each child’s skill level in which gymnasts progress at their own pace through our ten level program, learning basic to advanced gymnastics skills which help to improve overall flexibility, strength, body awareness and develop great self esteem. Our focus in this class is to teach proper drills,skills and conditioning. Everyone will be challanged in this class. Class duration 90 Minutes.
Our competitive gymnastics program has two streams our levels based stream where gymnasts participating in the WAG and MAG Gymnastics Ireland Levels Structure and our Elite stream with gymnasts aiming for National and International Selection.gymnasts train anything from 4hrs-15hrs per week. There is movement between the two streams and
entry to these classes is done through talent identification and testing.
